How it Works
- Open to all horses regardless of registration.
- Riders who are not TAASA or EV members must pay a $5-day membership fee per day.
- To be eligible for overall series awards both days (29 June and 3rd August) must be completed.
- EA dressage rules apply, https://www.equestrian.org.au/Dressage-rules
- Competitors must supply their own bridle or saddle numbers
- Gear check must be completed before each test
- Horses must not compete below current grading
Battle of the Breeds
All horses must be registered with their respective breed societies. Each team shall be comprised of 4 horses registered in the same stud book (both pure bred and part bred eligible). The top three scores for each team shall be counted.
Challenge of the Colours
All horses must be registered with their respective colour societies. Each team shall comprise 4 horses registered within the same colour society. The top three scores for each team shall be counted.
Riders may ride more than one horse per team. Teams may be nominated on the entry form, or, a request to be placed in a team may be made at time of entry. Requested teams shall be comprised by a random draw, where there is an uneven number of entries for a team, allocations shall be done on a first in best dressed basis.
Multi registered horses may compete for one team only. Please list all horse registrations when requesting a team placement. Breed registration shall take precedence over colour registration.
To be eligible for the overall battle of the breed/challenge of the colours, the same team must compete at both events of the series.
Scoring for both Battle of the Breeds and Challenge of the Colours to be as follows. The winner shall be the team with the most number of points. In the event of a tie, the 4th score shall be added. If scores are still tied, the team with the most number of individual places shall be deemed the winner.
